Best Brunch in Toowoomba: Cafes and Morning Spots in the Garden City

Toowoomba has a genuinely strong cafe scene for an inland regional city, shaped by its large student population from USQ and TafeQ, healthcare professional workforce and strong community culture around its parks and gardens. The Margaret Street and Ruthven Street corridors in the CBD have the highest density of quality independent cafes. The Toowoomba Farmers Market on Saturdays draws a cafe crowd to the nearby Annand Street area. Garden Town and the surrounds of East Toowoomba have neighbourhood cafes popular with the affluent inner-east community. Several roasters supply the local cafe scene with quality specialty beans. The Carnival of Flowers in September brings a significant influx of visitors and the CBD cafe scene responds with extended hours and event menus. Weekend mornings at the more popular CBD spots can attract queues; arriving by 8am is reliable.
