Queens Park Garden Toowoomba: Rose Gardens and the Heart of the Garden City

Queens Park Garden in East Toowoomba is the centrepiece of the city's identity as the Garden City of the Darling Downs. The park covers approximately 24 hectares and includes a rose garden with hundreds of named varieties in full colour from September through November, ornamental lake, children's playground, outdoor theatre and the Cobb and Co Museum adjacent on the park's edge. The rose garden is at its best during the Carnival of Flowers in September, but the park is a pleasant free destination year-round. The Jondaryan Heritage Circuit in the surrounding East Toowoomba area adds to the character of a walking visit. Entry to the park is free; the Cobb and Co Museum carries an admission fee.
