Toowoomba's suburbs spread across a plateau city of approximately 180,000 people, with the historic East Toowoomba and Newtown areas at the inner eastern and southern edges being the most character-rich. East Toowoomba has heritage homes, proximity to Queens Park and walkable streets lined with mature trees.
