Entry to both sites remains free, though the Toowoomba Regional Council charges $4 for all-day parking at the Picnic Point upper lot on weekends.

Walkers should start at Laurel Bank Park before 9am to avoid later foot traffic near the rose garden beds. Those choosing Picnic Point need closed shoes and at least one litre of water, as the track has no taps between the car park and the halfway seat.
