Walks organised along Margaret Street now stop at the Empire Theatre forecourt for short talks by long-term shop owners. Separate sessions at Laurel Bank Park focus on garden volunteers who maintain the rose beds planted in the 1990s. Both locations run on the first and third Saturday of each month, with the next dates set for 18 July and 1 August.
The Toowoomba Regional Council records show 172 volunteers registered for the park program this year, up from 119 in 2024. Entry to the Saturday sessions costs $5, which covers tea and printed maps of the routes.

Anyone can register through the council website or at the information desk inside the Toowoomba City Library on Victoria Street. Sessions run from 10am to midday and require no prior booking beyond the online form. Participants receive a printed list of upcoming dates and a contact number for the organising group.
